CBR : Vocational Trades

Through our regular meetings and individual contacts, we have motivated PWDs in our project area for undertaking different small business like tailoring, cycle repairs, STD booth and other small business. At the moment 123 of them have managed to get self-employed in PMRY, SGSY. NHFDC schemes through individual loans from the banks. This makes them to earn their livelihood and is able to support their families. Some of the PWDs have become independent and have gained self-respect in the community. The government also helps them to get benefits from different self-employment schemes. Within this short time they have managed to get a loan of Rs.7,84,000/- from different banks. It has boosted their self-esteem and their self-confidence is high.
