CBR : Introduction

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
Looking at the success of Vikas Bhavan and the enormous help it does to the physically handicapped in and around the district, the director and the staff realized that a larger society is deprived of the same facilities available in Vikas Bhavan. Hence in order to cater to the needs of the less privileged ones, community based rehabilitation was thought of in the two blocks of Bargarh District, namely Bargarh and Bhedan. Repeated requests from neighboring blocks excluding the two, Vikas Deepti has decided to involve itself to a third one namely Bhatli in 2009. Given below are the activities in this programme:

Vocational trainings

Conducting Health awareness camps

Organizing training camp for CP & MR children

Surgeries & post operative care

Obtaining govt. facilities for the PWDs

Supply of aids & appliances

Organizing GP level parents/guardians meetings
